IT Manager

The IT Manager oversees and manages all aspects of our company's Information Technology (IT) and Information Security. This role will work with external managed service providers (MSPs), security services consultants and third-party vendors to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure and telecommunications. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in IT management, cybersecurity and business intelligence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee and coordinate with MSP and third-party vendors to ensure the company's IT infrastructure (network, servers, cloud services, telecommunications) is reliable, secure and scalable.  This position will support our Katy TX office in establishing and maintaining their IT infrastructure and local IT service provider.
  • Information Security: Manage and enforce cybersecurity protocols and policies, including data protection, firewall management, and vulnerability assessments, in partnership with external security consultants. Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors involved in IT services, hardware procurement, telecommunications and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Business Intelligence (BI): Support the company’s BI initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants to enhance reporting, analytics and data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Hardware & Software Support: Ensure that all employees have the necessary tools, software and hardware to perform their jobs efficiently. Manage software updates, contract renewals, hardware lifecycle and resolve any technical issues that arise.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in IT governance, risk management and compliance. Assist in preparing for audits and ensuring IT policies align with compliance needs.
  • Communication, Leadership & Training: Own all internal communications on implementations, priorities and initiatives owned by IT and coordinate with external teams to ensure all IT operations align with company goals. Provide guidance on IT best practices and lead training initiatives for employees as needed.

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud computing and implementation of best practices
  • Knowledge of information security principles, including experience with cybersecurity tools, protocols and standards.
  • Proficiency with M365 tenant administration
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and processes in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) a plus.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint site/component design and/or Power Automate a plus.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • This position will be in an office environment with potential domestic travel to our Katy, TX office.
