The Project Engineer is responsible for all planning activities related to the Subsurface Compressor System (SCS) tool design, build, test and deployment for both downhole and topside equipment. This includes all aspects of various program and R&D schedules, on time project execution and cross functional alignment among teams to ensure an on-time delivery. The position coordinates with internal departments to ensure activities are coordinated and prioritized for timely production and delivery at the highest quality to the field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain SCS and R&D schedule including design, build and test schedules for tool components, modules and complete system to meet operating plan objectives (shipment schedule, delivery lead times)
- Collaborate with cross-function teams to organize all aspects of program and assure teams are aligned to achieve project milestones and release dates
- Continuously monitor and follow up with departments to assure schedule is up to date and all departments are aware
- Monitor progress and update Systems Engineer with status of program(s)
- Coordinate with Supply Management to ensure RFQ's and PO's are issued and timely delivery to meet program deliverables
- Coordinate with operations team on resource allocation and skill sets during planning process
- Interface with operations group to provide product needs for deployment and testing to allow them to define supply replenishment (purchase orders and work orders) from system-driven requirements
- Interface with engineering to provide updates on schedule so they can effectively prioritize design drawing completion and resource schedules based on component and assembly lead time
- Drive expediting when necessary to minimize rescheduling or changes in deliveries to maintain system schedules
- Communicate to departments regularly for forecast updates and changes to requirements
- Actively participate in product development reviews to ensure implementation timeline

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or operations management or other related discipline or equivalent combination of education/experience required
- Five years of hands-on experience in planning role, ideally in turbomachinery development or production environments
- Ability to anticipate operational needs (tooling, equipment, resources, etc.) and plan accordingly
- High level of organization and attention to detail to ensure input is accurately recorded and linked to other tasks
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with outstanding follow-up skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, in oral and written form, along with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
- High degree of independent judgement with minimal supervisory guidance
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project or other scheduling software
- An understanding of integrated computerized manufacturing systems (ERP)

Most time will be spent in an office or shop floor. Personal protective equipment may be required in designated areas.
