Production Manager

Upwing Energy is searching for an experienced Production Manager to oversee our production team responsible for building turbomachinery systems for the oil and gas industry. The Production Manager is responsible for staffing and scheduling work cells, as well as escalating stoppages to appropriate support teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assembly of high precision motor and turbomachinery electromechanical equipment.
  • Hiring, Supervision and training of Assembly Technicians.
  • Definition of the daily scheduling of work cells and technicians to achieve delivery targets.
  • Ensure full quality traceability to the work instructions and BOM in the production management system.
  • Escalate production issues to the appropriate team (Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, etc.), and collaborate with them to implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and systematically address chronic issues.
  • Foresee build issues and challenges and take preventative measures to prevent quality issues and production delays.  

Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:

  • Minimum for 3 years experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications, ERP systems, and MES or Quality systems.
  • Familiar with safety protocols in a production environment, including PPE, material handling, electrical safety, etc.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools and production tools as well as inspection equipment and instrumentation
  • Able to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and piping & instrumentation diagrams

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

This position will be in a ship environment most of the time. Personal protective equipment should be worn in designated shop floor areas.
