The Account Service Manager - UAE at Upwing Energy is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations related to the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the Subsurface Compressor System (SCS) and Inline Compressor System (ICS) in the United Arab Emirates. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, execution, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of UAE field operations for the SCS, ICS and related equipment, including valves, pipe runs, flow meters, and instrumentation systems adhering to global safety standards and operational protocols.
- Apply extensive expertise in Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP), Artificial Lift techniques (e.g., Gas Lift, Rod Pump), Well Completions, Intervention, and Workover to address technical challenges and ensure efficient project management.
- Efficiently manage field service schedules, resources, and budgets while supporting the Delivery Manager in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients throughout both the project management phase and field deployments, ensuring clear communication and addressing any operational or technical concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, regulatory, and safety standards during field operations, implementing safety protocols and conducting inspections.
- Manage or oversee third-party contractors responsible for QA/QC processes related to fabricators, civil work, and various system components—including valves, piping systems, and instrumentation—ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering comprehensive reports to the client.
- Write detailed technical reports and maintain accurate records of deployment activities, installation details, and system modifications.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with subcontractors and service companies to ensure seamless integration of services and optimized project execution.
- Conduct on-site training for client personnel on the operation and maintenance of installed systems, ensuring proper knowledge transfer.
- Identify opportunities for system optimization and propose service improvements based on client feedback.
- Contribute to the sales cycle by providing technical expertise and solutions to clients, assisting in business development efforts alongside the sales team.
Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering or similar degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in field service management or operations in the MENA region and 7 years within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record in managing diverse, international field service teams, and fostering a culture of safety, excellence and collaboration.
- Extensive technical expertise in ESP applications, various Artificial Lift methods (Gas Lift, Rod Pump, etc.), Well Completions, Intervention, and Workover of wells.
- Hands-on experience with topside motor drives and hydraulic systems.
- Hands-on experience with piping systems, values, flow meters, surface compressors or pumps, and instrumentation systems.
- Experience with the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex mechanical and electrical systems in oil and gas environments.
- proficient in project management, resource allocation, and budget control. PMP certificate is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Must speak and write fluently in Arabic and English.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- This role requires approximately 50% of time spent overseeing and supporting field service operations and ensuring project execution meets the required standards.
- Frequent travel (80% in the UAE and 20% in the MENA region) to field sites, client locations and subcontractors is necessary to supervise operations, address technical challenges and maintain client relationships.
- Work in outdoor environments, potentially in challenging weather conditions, is common during field visits.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks as required in the field is essential to ensure proper oversight and support to field service teams.
